[it takes a moment for Akira-- a teenager who isn't used to dealing with dead bodies-- to swallow down his frustration and instinctive anger at the situation. fortunately, if there's anything Akira is good at, it's keeping his temper under control]

[what's up hobo uncle. . . it seems like the past few days have been rough on everyone, Akira included. today, after Asch's not-so-graceful death, Akira can be found soaking up some of the sunshine outside near the garden. he might've only worked in a flower shop for a few months, but for some reason the colorful blossoms are soothing]

[he looks pensive as he runs his fingers across a flower's petals, expression distant and unfocused]

[BANG BANG KNOCK KNOCK SLAM SLAM hi nick are you home Akira is knocking at ur door]

[and kind of urgently]

[by Wednesday, Akira looks terrible. he's disheveled and haggard, probably didn't shower last night, and there are bags under his eyes as he shuffles his way slowly towards Phoenix's room]

[he perks up a bit when he sees Phoenix, though he keeps his distance]

[early, early Thursday morning, Akira makes his way to the kitchen, limping on his prosthetic leg as he does so. he still has the assistance of his crutch, but he is getting more and more used to the weight of his new leg every single day]

[ after breakins, phoenix has been treated! more or less! but he wants to talk to akira. ]

[WELCOME BACK DEADNIX. and of course he is swamped with people who are happy to see him again, Akira being one of those. . . but Akira also waits until the crowds thin a bit to approach again]

[and into the kitchen they go!! despite missing a leg, Akira uses the countertops to maneuver his way around the kitchen so he can fetch coffee supplies]

[he watches Nick out of the corners of his vision the entire time]
