[somewhere closer to evening, Steph will find herself SUDDENLY ACCOSTED while she is hanging out around cabin ant. it's fine, someone is just grabbing the back of her shirt and yanking her behind the building]
[it was only a few weeks ago, but the trauma of losing his leg feels like a distant memory at this point. he lowers his foot again, dipping his fingers into his pockets as his eyes slip shut]
I got caught in a mirror maze with a few of my mansion companions. My foot slipped into one of the mirrors-- it felt like it was being bathed in acid.
When I pulled my leg out. . . all that was left was bone.
At first, I also went-- somewhere. Like an ice fortress? I got stabbed by these icicles in my leg and was wounded from that. And then a friend and I went into a forest, and I got my leg crushed by a sentient house. And then I voted for myself, and Tiger cut my leg off.
Blue was a shapeshifting being who was trapped by the mansion. The mansion fed off of their power to become more. . . ah, powerful.
They were trying to escape the house's clutches, while also trying to help us and keep us from dying. In the end, we managed to kill the house and free Blue, so I assumed Blue healed our injuries.
They mostly were somewhat harmless at first, but whenever you completed one, you were given a new one. So they might get worse and worse? My very first one was to make someone a potential target to be killed.
week zero, sunday
[SECRECY]
[it's just Akira]
Hi.
Do you have a moment?
no subject
[ it's just akira
she straightens up. ]
Sure, what's up?
[ as if that didn't just happen ]
no subject
First off--
. . . why do you have a prosthetic leg?
[someone was reading boarding passes earlier]
1/2
Like legs?
no subject
I needed one at the castle.
1/2
I like legs, too.
[said COMPLETELY SERIOUSLY]
no subject
I asked because I needed one back at the mansion, too.
[he has two now, but! he holds out his right leg a bit, as though showing off a prosthetic that he isn't wearing]
no subject
[ this is the worst thing to be twinsies for. ]
... how? If you don't mind me asking.

[ ... ]
Amazingly, it was all the same leg.
no subject
I-- huh.
That's some luck you've got there.
["luck"]
no subject
[ she pops the p ]
But it worked out.
no subject
It looks like it. I'm glad you. . . recovered.
no subject
[ she knows someone who was going to use a wish for her leg, but... she is not sure if he had done it yet or not. ]
no subject
Oh-- did it?
[huh]
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I got mine back after we killed our soul-eating house.
no subject
[ you didn't have to waste a damn wish on it? :unamused: ]
no subject
[shrugs???]
[IT JUST CAME BACK]
no subject
[ she just knows about a house ]

I'm glad you got them out. And yourselves, obviously. Even if that victory didn't last long.
no subject
Mmm. I'm glad your group managed to get out, too. Belph told me a little bit about what happened.
no subject
Wouldn't want to bore you with the same details twice.
no subject
[. . . a small sigh]
Killing someone by drowning. . .? That's just. . . [he trails off and grimaces]
no subject
They mostly were somewhat harmless at first, but whenever you completed one, you were given a new one. So they might get worse and worse? My very first one was to make someone a potential target to be killed.
[ ... ]
I did not complete any objectives.
no subject
Thaaaaaaat's a good thing.
[EVEN THOUGH HE ALSO KNOWS THEY NEEDED OBJECTIVES TO REVIVE DEAD PEOPLE AND ALSO GO HOME]
Are you worried about what sort of "tasks" we'll be asked to complete here?
