[ akira can find him in the kitchen, getting ready to cook dinner! it looks like ingredients for a curry? kara will ignore him until he speaks, i'm sorry he's like this. ]

Ash keeps calling you chatterbox, but honestly? I don't see it.

week two, tuesday

[it takes him a few days to finally decide to approach Kara, mostly because he was giving himself some time to stop being so cranky (and Kara some time to approach first, if he wanted to). but Tuesday is here before he knows it, and wherever Kara might be on this fine day, there is an Akira there too!]

[he doesn't say that rudely, his tone purposefully even, arms folded with a demeanor that's still pretty closed off]

[ this bitch is in the kitchen making some wagashi. he pauses long enough to glance at akira before turning back to it. ]

If you want something, just say so.

[squares his shoulders, jaw set and tilted up. and when he speaks again, his request is simple]

[it's not a question, though it isn't phrased as a demand, either]

[ ...hm! somehow those aren't the words he was expecting to hear, so he pauses in surprise, but eventually shakes his head. ]

I'm busy.

[somehow Akira isn't offended!! wagashi is important!!]

Doesn't have to be now. It can be later today, or tomorrow. It doesn't matter.

week three, monday

[IT'S RAINING AND IT SUCKS?? and Akira needs to take special care to keep himself dry thanks to eye injury. but he still ventures out into the rain in search of a certain sword, and when he finds him meandering about the stables he is grateful that they're inside]

[as he steps out of the rain and shakes out his poncho, he greets Kara with a brief wave]

Are you a horse kind of guy?

[horse kind of. . . sword?]

[ he's currently grooming a handsome black horse, pausing only to glance over his shoulder at akira. ]

We have horses at the citadel, for battle. I'm used to taking care of them.

[ also they have cute eyes. ]

[they DO have cute eyes. either way, Akira approaches the steed from the other side to gently pat it's neck. he's not a horse person but he loves all animals!!]

I bet a little bit of normalcy in all of this chaos helps.

week 5, monday.

[ well kara certainly isn't going to seek anyone out after this weekend, so i'm going to assume that akira happens upon him as he is making his cute animal mochi. when he looks up and sees akira there, he scowls, but turns right back to it.

a blue and white cat sits on the plate next to him. he is currently making a something out of a purplish mochi, but its shape isn't quite there yet. ]

[Akira was never truly avoiding Kara, though admittedly he hadn't had much reason to seek him out as of late. . . but he does happen upon him when he is making more cute food. this is just like last time!!]
