[he is certainly not rejecting the theory. it would make sense, considering what they found, considering how cagey the sisters are when it comes to talking about their lives before Master Blue, but. . .]

"laid to rest, no mourning please at his request," was definitely one of them. There was another about absent-mindedness, and the last one was about lying for a while.
[ sadly he's not good enough to remember them all verbatim. ]
They could be from other guests but they could work for all three of them, couldn't they?

I'd say it might be worth asking them, but-- I don't know how you politely ask someone if they've died before.
