As this group splits off from the others, they will find themselves drawn to the bonfire like moths to a flame. Though nothing seems to be openly disturbed around the cabins, as they walk along they should watch their step! Mixed in the dirt by the fire there appears to be bits of metal shrapnel they should avoid, and there's a scent from the fire itself that smells a bit odd. Almost chemically. Hm...

This group is the only one who will be able to see these findings.

Perhaps it's best to discuss amongst yourselves and bring it up to others, too.

[yeah, uh. that is not a very happy noise, is it??? at any rate, Akira is here to investigate the bonfire, but he looks sssssuper pissed off today. way more than usual as he tries to catch his balance against one of the cabins. it might have something to do with the way he can't walk without breaking out into tap dancing]

[Magnus comes out as well, glancing at Akira with some concern. He turns to look at him, frowning, and then opens his mouth to say something supportive.]

I'm just so jealous of everybody who can do magic!

[Wait. He frowns, frustrated, and tries again.]

I mean. Hey. Something smell weird around here to you?

[ tonbo is fussing over both of them, almost to the point of hovering and making sure everything is alright. which honestly is more making sure Akira doesn't tap dance into the fire but. it's fine ]

There's a rather unpleasant aroma isn't there.....?

[it's okay, he can control it!! well, the direction. he can't control the tap dancing]

[he is quite a few feet from the bonfire because he doesn't want to risk himself braking out into tap dance again, but he steels himself with a deep breath, gaze narrowing]

[he starts forward, like he's going to walk, and then scowls when he remembers and just. stays. rooted in spot]

There's something shiny in the dirt near it, too.

[As soon as Tonbo appears, Magnus looks at him with an annoyed expression, and says - ]

I'm only rude to you because it bothers me that you're obviously way more cut!

[Wow. Anyway. Anyway, immediately going over to try to look at what's shiny in the dirt. He can't look, because it's a mini-inves, but wow.]

[ he blinks. okay......?

anyways, with that taken care of tonbo will go poke around the rest of the area around the fire, ineffectively looking for clues ]

Could they not have just left something obvious for once.....?

[ this is muttered quietly to himself but still ]

[. . . okay, he is going to brave looking stupid and pushes away from the cabin, taking a step forward so he can--]

[tap dance towards the bonfire. SIGHS]

We'll probably get a chance to look at it a bit more closely tomorrow. For now. . . I guess we should focus on the chemical smell.

[He looks kind of embarrassed.]
