So he just looks puzzled, clearly not at all remembering or processing what Akira's talking about. ]

Minato just... kind of nods slowly... because there is nothing else he can really do at this point.
He said it. Now Akira's said it. The words themselves make his entire heart flipflop and also somehow jump to his throat, and he's not entirely sure how to respond at all.
Because... because he does mean it. He did, and he does. And he's exhausted, he's overwhelmed, he's at the end of his rope and so...
Softly, with his cheeks flushed and his eyes wide: ]
... I do love you. Too. I--I meant it. Every single word.
[he is going to stay firm on this, too!! he leans forward as well, pressing their foreheads together as his eyes flutter and he finally drops their hands loosely between them]
It made my heart flutter like a bundle of butterflies.
[honestly? they probably should. it's been a long and exhausting day, and both of them are still recovering emotionally from everything that happened]

[Akira can't help himself. Minato yawns, and he ducks his head in a small, fond laugh]
[and then he leans forward to catch Minato's mouth in a kiss. right at the end of his yawn, when he's least expecting it, but also when his mouth isn't wide open because that would be super weird]
You're so concerned about missing a stolen kiss. . .
[SO, SO FOND!! but yeah, he leans in to kiss Minato again, this time much more slowly, lingering with their lips pressed together so he can savor the gentle moment]
But anyway, he doesn't really have to finish that statement before Akira's leaning in for another one, and that's way more important. He lingers contentedly, eyes sliding shut as he basks in the very gentle and sweet moment.
[for as much as Akira teases, even he can admit that this is much better. . . and there's something about this kiss in particular that sends his heart thrumming warmly in his ears. he truly never thought he'd be in this position, enveloped by someone he finds so completely and utterly amazing. . . fortunate enough to have such a bright presence lighting up his life. but now that he's here, he can't even begin to fathom where he'd be without it]
[. . . they're both exhausted, but Akira makes no move to lie down, no move to return to bed so they can finally sleep. some things, he thinks dully in the back of his mind, are so much more preferable!!]
[ Akira makes no move to return to the bed, and honestly? Minato doesn't either. This entire situation is intoxicating and distracting and warming, and Minato has no interest in letting it end too quickly. Akira has managed to convince him that he deserves this, that they both deserve this, and that's enough for Minato to give himself over to it fully.
So one slow, warm, loving kiss becomes two, and then a slow third, and then...
...
... Then Minato has to break away to stifle a yawn, turning his head a little so he doesn't just completely yawn in Akira's face.
