... Are you sure? I'm basically saying that I want all of your focus and attention.

Even though I know you're great enough to be important to lots of people like that. Um. Romantically or physically.

[oh my god. laughs a little breathlessly, drawing back just enough to catch Minato's gaze with his own, hands pressed against his cheeks]

[he's smiling a little doofily, but it's oh-so fond]

That's exactly what I want to give you. . . and what I want from you in return.

[ ... ah. And Minato just hums softly at that, tilting his face into Akira's touch contentedly, eyes fluttering shut. ]

I'm lucky, then. That's... exactly what I want too.

... You understand me better than anyone, Akira. There isn't anyone else I'd rather be devoted to.

[tilts his head up a bit so their noses brush together. cute eskimo kisses!!]

[ Minato is content to brush their noses together peacefully, affectionately and gently. ]

Thanks for looking out for me. I still feel... well... I'm not used to asking for someone to focus on me and only me.

[he cards his fingers through the hair at the nape of Minato's neck, idly toying with blue locks]

Now that we've established that--there isn't anyone else you'd be interested in that with at all?

[ he doesn't sound doubtful so much as like.

He... needs this to convince himself that it's okay to expect this of Akira!!! ]

[allows for this, though his cheeks do turn a little pink. they've made out like this plenty of times before but it's still!! kind of!! exhilarating!!]

[his fingers continue to stroke through Minato's hair cuz he finds this to be soothing!! and his ears perk forward as he takes a genuine moment to consider the question]

There are a lot of really attractive people here-- [VICIOUS] -- but I don't want to date them. Not because they wouldn't be fun to date, but because I'm just. . . well. I'm not into them that way.

[ It is soothing... and Akira's answer is soothing too. So he just rests his cheek on Akira's chest, settling there peacefully. ]

There are so many people I'm really fond of here. And like you said, there are lots of attractive people here.

But there isn't anyone who's made my heart skip a beat like you do.

[slides his fingers under Minato's chin, tracing his jawline gently as they talk. Minato has his full and complete focus, which is exactly what he wanted, right? . . . Akira is more than happy to give it. in this moment, and in so many in the future]

Must be all that time I spent reading "Reckless Casanova."

Anyway... Akira's touch is really, really, really nice.

[tilts his head forward to press a kiss against the tip of Minato's nose]

I wouldn't have judged you if you read it every single night before bed.

[laughs a little, light and airy, before settling again]

I was a little worried.

[he admits, voice barely above a whisper]

[ Hmmm... Minato inspects Akira carefully at that for a long moment, before he just cups Akira's cheek with a hand. ]

... You know my parents died when I was really young.

[ Akira saw that memory, unfortunately. ]

After that... I was passed along from distant family to distant family. I ended up in an orphanage a few times too. It wasn't... I was glad to have a roof over my head, but...

[ ... ]

I guess what I'm trying to say is... that never in my life have I felt like the most important person to... anyone.

[ SEES has gone such a long way to healing those scars, and his Social Links too, but-- ]

... What you're giving me is special, and... I don't want to give that up.

[tilts his head into that hand, eyes fluttering as he revels in the warm contact]

Minato. . .

[he utters that name just as breathlessly as his words from earlier, lifting his own hand to press his fingers against Minato's knuckles, pushing the other wild card's palm all the more firmly against his cheek]

[he feels like he should say something else, but. . . the words won't come, no matter how much he wishes they would. he feels light, his heart fluttering like a butterfly, threatening to float right out of his ribs]

[so what else can he do but tilt his head up to catch Minato's mouth in a kiss instead?]

[ Minato thinks that's a perfectly fine response, honestly--so he gladly and willingly leans into that kiss, thumb from the hand still cupping Akira's cheek gently sliding along the ridge of his cheekbone as he does.

They seem to be on the same page to Minato, so... he's not too terribly concerned with more words right now. ]

[they are definitely on the same page, and that fact couldn't make Akira any happier. sometimes actions speak louder than words anyway, right?]

[. . . he's melted into Minato once today already, but hey. there isn't a limit on how many times they're allowed to do this, is there? so with a completely content hum, Akira continues to kiss, keeping it just as lazy and affectionate as his earlier ones were]

[ HOW MANY TIMES A DAY CAN THEY MAKE OUT, AL--



by which I mean

They are trading affectionate kisses again, warm but relatively innocent and chaste. Minato's honestly really comfortable just like this. ]

[SO MANY TIMES. . . THEY'RE AWFUL]

[but Akira seems happy to be here again, swapping kisses with Minato like there isn't anything else in the world that matters. and quite frankly? in this moment, there isn't]

[he slides his arms around Minato's back, hooking his hands together to let them rest at the small of the other wild card's back, perfectly innocent!!]
