Anyway... I don't know if it'll ever get cold again, but I thought having something like that might be nice if it does.

[Akira gives a moment's pause, a hum buzzing on his lips, before just]

[twines one of the loose ends around Minato's neck too]

[and leans forward until their foreheads touch]

Minato immediately leans in to press their foreheads together as well, expression soft. ]

I think movie moments are generally left to the movies.

There's something a little beautiful about regular old mundanity, too, I think.

[finishing off the beef bowl pretty quickly, since he's been munching on it all conversation]

There's a time and place for it, just like there's a time and place for something more exciting. That's life, isn't it?

[ Minato polishes off his own quickly, of course, since he's Minato--he stretches, but carefully so he doesn't knock any of the scarf off. ]

That's true enough. I have to admit... I like a little bit of a thrill sometimes too.

So don't worry--I'll try to keep up.

[s-snorts a little bit, because Minato makes it sound like he's someone special to keep up with!! but if he argues the point, that will only invite more embarrassing compliments, so. . . maybe this time he'll keep his mouth shut]

But for his part, Minato just perks up a bit at that, brightly. ]

I'm really glad you liked it. Truly.

I know it's still early on, but... I wanted it to be a memorable date, at least a little.

[ Minato just says that gently, leaning in to press his lips to Akira's forehead. ]

Well, it's not the first metaphorical prison that helped me forge some irreplaceable bonds. Wouldn't be surprised if it isn't the last, at this point.
