There was a boy in middle school I liked for a really long time.

I don't know that I have a story like that. I was too far removed from others to think about things in that capacity.

Although... when I was in middle school, I recall having an intense interest in the original Detective Prince. When she came out as a girl, I remember thinking that it was pure genius — an absolute master stroke of marketing. But on a personal basis... I must say, I was a bit disappointed.
